The Hole in the Gospel
We went to church at the Vineyard Columbus this weekend and Richard Stearns, president of World Vision and author of The Hole in Our Gospel, was the preacher. I've not yet read the book but received a free copy at church and look forward to diving into it soon.
Convicting words for the church and for myself - the way we read Matthew 25:
For I was hungry, while you had all you needed. I was thirsty, but you drank bottled water. I was a stranger, and you wanted me deported. I was naked, but you needed more clothes. I was sick, and you pointed out the behaviors that led to my sickness. I was in prison, and you said I was getting what I deserved.
