Biking to the Great Wall
Monday, April 5th, was a national holiday. The holiday obviously meant nothing to me except that I did not have to go to school. So Don, Rob, and I decided to take a bike trip to The Great Wall. The Great Wall is close by bus or train but not so close by bike. Included are some pictures of the journey and the destination.
Final Stats:
114 km traveled (71 miles)
4.5 hours on the bike
77 perfect degrees
Many more people were invited but we were the only 3 brave enough to make the 70 mile trek.
We saw this tank drive by on our way back from the Wall. This is not a common site in China, we just happened to bike by the tank museum and I guess these guys were taking one out for a spin.
