Turkey Bowl - Beijing Style

Team LHI was victorious in yesterday's Turkey bowl on a crisp afternoon in Beijing, China. Though team LHI was outmatched in skill and number by the opponents from across town, their determination and grit proved superior as they won a 60-54 shootout.
excerpt taken from the China Daily Newspaper

Spending Thanksgiving in China was in many ways superior to the American experience. The negative - I had to go to school on Turkey Day. The positives - we had a great Turkey Bowl with about 20 participants in all, the meal was 21 of us from multiple families all enjoying American food and giving thanks to Giver of every good and perfect gift, and the best part is there is no Black Friday in China.

I did miss watching football on TV on T'giving Day until I realized that 2 of the 4 participants were the Oakland Raiders and the Detroit Lions, so I didn't miss much.

I invited 2 of my Indonesian classmates to play football with us and on the way one of them told me, "i never before touch American football." They were on my team, and we still won.

BTW, the beginning excerpt was not really taken from the China Daily website. They don't care about us, our Turkey Bowl, nor American Football in general.
